Mrs. Opal Lowery

Mrs. Opal Mae Lowery, 87, of Michigan City, Indiana, formerly of La Porte passed away Tuesday December 20, 2016, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Michigan City, IN. On February 5, 1946, in La Porte, IN, she married Will T. Lowery who preceded her in death. She is survived by her two sons, David Lowery, Jerry (Debra) Lowery; daughter-in-law, Opal I. Lowery; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, James; three brothers and three sisters. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, where the family will receive friends Thursday, December 22, 2016, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday December 22, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Rev. John A. Haferkamp officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
