Meredith Henrietta Reder September 26, 1926-January 9, 2013 Meredith Henrietta Reder, 86, of South Bend, Indiana, formerly of LaPorte, IN., died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Sanctuary At St. Pauls in South Bend, IN. She was born September 26, 1926 in Portage, Wisconsin, the daughter of William M. Kolash and Edith (Vaughan) Kolash. Meredith worked twenty-five years as a Lab Technician for T.P. Orthodontics, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Eastern Star and volunteered at LaPorte Hospital. She enjoyed sewing, and baking. Meredith was very family oriented.. On December 26, 1949, in LaPorte, IN, she married Kenneth W. Reder who preceded her in death November 5, 2001. She is survived by her son - Alan (Janet) Reder of Elkhart, IN; 2 daughters - Karen (Mark) Waldron of New Carlisle, IN, Debra (Tom) Shumaker of Elkhart, IN; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Meredith was preceded in death by her, parents, husband and one brother,William Kolash. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, January 11, 2013 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm CST & Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 9:00 am, CST, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday January 12, 2013 at 10:00 am CST with Rev. Evan Lash officiating.
