Mrs. Maxine Franks

Mrs. Maxine M. Franks, 88, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday December 31, 2011 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte. She was born October 20, 1923 in Marysville, Kansas, the daughter of William and Maude Weinberg. On March 23, 1943, in Marysville, KS, she married John Franks who preceded in death February 12, 2003. She is survived by her 2 sons - Larry (Ruth) Franks of Jeffersonville, IN, John (Kaye) Franks of Michigan City, IN; 2 daughters - Diana L. Bratkovic of Indianaola, IA, Janice (Ken) Yergler of Wheatland, WY; 7 Grandchildren - Jeff Franks, Andrew Franks, Larrina Matz, Amber (Greg) (Yergler) Reimer, Brian Yergler, Karen (Zack) (Yergler) Davis, Cindy (Kendall) (Yergler) Hayford; 2 step grandchildren - Ana Diaz, Diana Diaz; 11 Great Grandchildren - Reese Franks, Jackson Franks, Thomas (Linda) Matz, Benjamin (Sarah) Matz, Tiffany Matz, Simeon Matz, Caleb Matz, Adriana Reimer, Bree Reimer, Ebony Yergler and Layla and Aidan Hayford. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Bill Weinberg. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, January 3, 2012 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday January 3, 2012 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Ricky Bray officiating.
