Mrs. Mary Williams

Mary M. Williams February 24,1926 - April 18, 2012 Mary M. Williams, 86, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday April 18, 2012 at Hamilton Communities, Inc. in New Carlisle, IN. She was born February 24, 1926 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Robert C. Unger and Martha E. (Sheffer) Unger. Mary worked thirty-six years for Whirlpool Corp., retiring in 1992. She was a member of First Methodist Church and V.F.W. Post #1130 Auxiliary of La Porte. On July 5, 1950, in La Porte, IN, she married Robert E. Williams who preceded in death July 7, 1970. She is survived by her son - Dan (wife-Linda) Williams of Cumming, GA, and a sister - Janice Nickerson of Rolling Prairie, IN. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Ruth Ann Hootman, Louise L. Robertson, Phyllis Ainsworth; four brothers, Melvin, Robert William and Gordon Unger. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Sunday April 22, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Daniel Cho, officiating.
