Mrs. Mary Smith

Mary Susan Smith, 59, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at her home. She was born November 25, 1952 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Harold Henley Probst and Julia May (Marshall) Probst. Mary was a member of Kingsford Heights Wesleyan Church. She worked 10 years for ANCO, retiring in 2000. Mary enjoyed bowling and spending time with her grandchildren. On July 3, 1982, in LaPorte, IN, she married Jerry Paul Smith, Sr. who survives. She is also survived by her 4 sons - Carl James Jared, Jr. of Warsaw, IN, Jerry Paul Smith, Jr. of La Porte, IN, Adam John Smith of New Carlisle, IN, Malachi Samuel Fagen Jared of Kingsford Heights, IN; 3 daughters - Annalisa Lemelin of Sauk City, WI, Colleen Marie Kleca of La Porte, IN, Debbie Smith of Kingsford Heights, IN; sixteen grandchildren; and one sister - Linda Nowatzke of La Porte, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Friday, March 23, 2012 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Saturday, March 24, 2012 11:00 am, until time of service. A Life Celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral home on March 24, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Michael Brown, officiating. Cremation will take place.
