Mrs. Mary Rigler

Mary C. Rigler March 31, 1922 - March 5, 2013 Mrs. Mary C. Rigler, 90, of La Porte, Indiana, died Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born March 31, 1922 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Harry R. Rambo and Marie (Wickham) Rambo. Mary was a member of Kingsbury Baptist Church. Mary's joy in life was taking care of others, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. On April 30, 1948, in Kingsbury, IN, she married Henry Rigler who preceded her in death April 6, 1998. She is survived by her two sons - Richard E. (Linda) Rigler of Stevensville, MI, William M. Rigler of La Porte, IN; two daughters - Marilyn K. (James) Surgeon of La Porte, IN, Debra S. (Paul) Hickey of La Porte, IN; eight grandchildren - Jeff (Micah) Rigler, Thom (Rani) Rigler, Craig (Allyson) Rigler, Steven Rigler, Jackie (Michael) Christianson, Dusty (Guy) Koepke, Jim (Wendy) Surgeon, Dan Surgeon; ten great grandchildren, and one brother - Harold Rambo of Iowa Falls, IA and one daughter-in-law, Iris Rigler of Orlando, FL. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Earle E. Rigler, two sisters, Opal Bosserman, Joyce Schlundt, and one brother, Richard Rambo. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 10:00 am, until time of service at the Kingsbury Baptist Church in Kingsbury, IN. A life celebration will be held at Kingsbury Baptist Church, Saturday March 9, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Tim Williams officiating.
