Mrs. Marjorie Thode

Mrs. Marjorie L. Thode, 81, of La Porte, Indiana, died Monday April 2, 2012 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born September 18, 1930 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Lawrence Eggert and Florence (Clark) Eggert. Marjorie was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed playing bridge and golfing. On January 17, 1953, in LaPorte, IN, she married Wesley Thode who preceded her in death on October 17, 1995. She is survived by her daughter - Deborah (Jerry) Spahn of La Porte, IN; son - Jeffrey (Susan) Thode of Chesterton, IN; 4 grandchildren - Jen (Tim) Hess of Indianapolis, IN, Jerilyn Spahn of La Porte, IN, Becky Thode, Jeffrey Thode, Jr. both of Chesterton, IN; 2 great grandchildren - Noah Hess, and Evan Hess both of Indianapolis, IN. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Alice Sedgley. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. There will be no visitation. A Mass will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Friday April 6, 2012 at 10:00 am with Rev. Tony Clavier officiating.
