Mrs. Marian Krishack

Marian Rose Krishack, 86, of LaPorte, Indiana, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Hamilton Communities, Inc. in New Carlisle. She was born May 8, 1925 in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter of John Koach and Mary (Oswald) Koach. Marian worked as a sales representative for twenty-one years for Boise Cascade retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, VFW and the American Legion Post #83. Marian volunteered for the LaPorte Co. Library, the Youth Service Bureau of LaPorte Co. for Lincoln and Kingsford Heights Elementary Schools. She enjoyed knitting, reading and cross stitching. Marian especially enjoyed taking care of her dogs. She was married to John Krishack, Sr. for twenty-five years. She is survived by her children; daughter, JoAnn (Marvin) Erby of Rolling Prairie, IN. son, John (Dawn) Krishack of Shalimar, FL, daughter, Marcia (Gary) Alexander of Mill Creek, IN.; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and close-friend, Shirley Morris. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one great grandaughter, and good friend, John Zakes Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Friday, January 13, 2012 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Services will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Saturday January 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Angotti officiating. Cremation will take place.
