Lucile Allen September 7, 1924 - July 1, 2012 Mrs. Lucile Allen, 87, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, died Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the home of her grandson in New Carlisle, IN. She was born September 7, 1924 in Hawesville, Kentucky, the daughter of Ivory Holmes and Mary Frances (Frakes) Holmes. Lucile was a member of the Church of Christ. First and utmost, she loved the Lord. Lucile loved her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and anything that dealt with nature. On June 22, 1945, in Knox, IN, she married Ray Allen who preceded her in death December 7, 2003. She is survived by her daughter - Lucille (Alfred) Wolfenbarger of La Porte, IN; granddaughter - Dawn Wolfenbarger of La Porte, IN; 2 grandsons - Bud (Joy) Wolfenbarger of Las Vegas, NV, Ray (Amy) Wolfenbarger of New Carlisle, IN; 3 Great Grandchildren - Zoe Wolfenbarger, Bailee Wolfenbarger, and Wyatt Wolfenbarger; and a sister - Inis Smith of Hawesville, KY. Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters, Essie, Dareen, Mary Rose, Clara Mae, and her 2 brothers, George and Fred. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 11:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday July 5, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Everett Shattuck officiating.
