Mrs. Lottie Glanders

Lottie V. Glanders August 11,1921 - May 2, 2012 Lottie V. Glanders, 90, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday May 2, 2012 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born August 11, 1921 in Ludlow, Massachusetts, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Kurtyka) Kozik. Lottie was a former member of La Porte New Church. Lottie enjoyed doing puzzles and loved animals. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Lottie was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. On February 22, 1941, in La Porte, IN, she married Dale Glanders, who preceded her in death August 13, 1982. On November 8, 1986, in Michigan City, IN, she married Gerald Glanders who preceded her in death January 7, 2004. She is survived by her daughter - Sandra Ford of La Porte, IN; 2 sons - Ronald (Peggy) Glanders of Houma, LA, Michael (Virginia) Glanders of Walkerton, IN; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren. Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Dale Glanders, and Gerald Glanders, one brother, Ben, three sisters, Jean, Josephine and Genevieve, and son-in-law, Dick Ford. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Monday, May 7, 2012 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday May 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Freeman Schrock officiating.
