Mrs. Lorraine Ohlis

Mrs. Lorraine E. Ohlis , 93, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday May 26, 2012 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born September 23, 1918 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Eston Price and Jeanette (Leusch) Price. Lorraine worked ten years for Miller's & Keim's Cafeterias. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and the Ladies Circle at the church. American Legion Post #83 Auxiliary and Pine Lake Grange. On March 29, 1941, in LaPorte, IN, she married Warren Ohlis who preceded in death on July 17, 2006. She is also survived by her 3 daughters - Joanne (David) Neuman of Denver, CO, Janet (Leo) Jongkind of La Porte, IN; daugher - Barbara (Richard) Roose of Scottsdale, AZ; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one sister - Betty (Gene) Foltz of Peru, IN. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm & Friday, June 1, 2012 10:00 am until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating.
