Linda S. Blake October 7, 1955-August 8, 2012 Mrs. Linda S. Blake, 56, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday August 8, 2012 as the result of a traffic accident. She has lived in La Porte for 19 years coming from Mishawaka, IN. She was born October 7, 1955 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Ronald Skiffington Sr. and Lillie (Perry) Skiffington who survive and are living in Lansing, MI. Linda attended Bethel College for 2 years. She was active in the Rolling Prairie Community Center. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and she enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing and doing crafts. On October 19, 1978, in Mason, MI, she married Terence R. Blake who also died August 8, 2012. She is survived by her son - Terence Blake of Venice, FL; 3 daughters - Tashonna Ebersole of Rolling Prairie, IN, Lea (Kyle) McNew of La Porte, IN, Tarra Blake of North Port, FL; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers - Ronald Skiffington Jr. of Lansing, MI, Tom Skiffington of Ada, MI; 2 sisters - Carol Dixon of Heartville, OH, and Kim Thomson of Buchanan, MI. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm CDT & Monday, August 13, 2012 from 9:30 am CDT, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday August 13, 2012 at 10:30 am CDT. Cremation will follow.
