Mrs. Jaqulyn Lewellen

Jaqulyn S. Lewellen, 56, of Three Oaks, MI, died Thursday April 28, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 23, 1954 in Niles, Michigan, the daughter of Benjamin Cauffman and Violet (Knowlton) Cauffman. Jaqulyn had worked eight years as a pharmacy tech and eleven years as a secretary for safety and security for Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. Jaqulyn enjoyed doing cross-stitching, baking, traveling, shopping and gardening. On December 19, 1970 in LaPorte, IN. she married Sonny McCoy. She re-married on February 14, 2002, in Three Oaks, MI, to Larry Lewellen. She is also survived by her; two daughters - Julie McCoy of La Porte, Jennifer (Mike) Miller of La Porte; step-son - Donald Lewellen of Three Oaks, MI; step-daughter - Anngela (Fred) Lewellen-Pries of Riverside, MI; two grandchildren- Matthew McCoy, and Nathan Martin; two step-grandchildren - Zakery Lewellen, Brenda Lewellen; two brothers - Doug Cauffman of La Porte, IN, and Rick Cauffman of South Bend, IN. Jaqulyn was preceded in death by her parents, son, Christopher McCoy, sister, Terry Smith, and brother, Scott Cauffman. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm & Monday, May 2, 2011 from 12:00 pm, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday May 2, 2011 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Paul Murray officiating. Interment will follow at the Salem Cemetery, La Porte, IN.
