Helen N. Lemberis March 30, 1923-January 4, 2013 Mrs. Helen N. Lemberis, 89, of Palos Hills, Illinois, died Friday January 4, 2013 in Palos Hills. She was born March 30, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Nicholas Pappas and Thenano (Petropoulos) Pappas. Helen was a retired employee for Cook County Circuit Court Fifth District. She was a member of St. Helen Women's Philoptochos, St. Spyridon Philoptochos and the Gargalianon Society On October 26, 1947, in La Porte, IN, she married Tom T. Lemberis who preceded in death February 21, 1972. She is survived by her son - Theodore (Renna) Lemberis of Palos Park, IL; 2 daughters - Ella Lemberis (Tom Brickler) of Mt. Greenwood, IL, Thalia (Bruce) Baker of Michigan City, IN; 8 Grandchildren - Matthew, Mark, Amanda, Austyn, Aura, Eleni, Stephanie, Aris; 4 Great Grandchildren - Ryan, Emily, Becca, Leah; nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends in Illinois, Indiana, California, Texas, and Greece. Helen was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, John (Dolly) Pappas and Saranti (Stavroula) Pappas. Local arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN.
