Mrs. Glenna Williamson

Glenna Mae Williamson September 3, 1939 - March 17, 2013 Mrs. Glenna Mae Williamson, 73, of New Carlisle, Indiana, died Sunday March 17, 2013 at her home. She was born September 3, 1939 in Missouri, the daughter of Clifford Gilchrist and Ethel (Gnuschke) Gilchrist. She was a member of United Methodist of Rolling Prairie and was WSCS of the church. Glenna had worked as a teller for the First National Bank for 6 years, and she also worked 30 years for Howmet Corp, retiring in 2004. Glenna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On November 21, 1959, in Rolling Prairie, she married James Williamson who survives. She is also survived by her three sons - Douglas (Stephanie) Williamson of Rolling Prairie, IN, Brian (Karen) Williamson of New Carlisle, IN, Allen (Brenda) Williamson of Rolling Prairie, IN; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother - Gilbert Gilchrist of Rolling Prairie, IN, and two sisters - Ella Porter of La Porte, IN, Norma B Ardusk of Oak Forest, IL. Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, William Gilchrist, James Gilchrist, and one sister, Nellie Kaufman. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Thursday, March 21, 2013 9:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday March 21, 2013 at 10:00 am with Rev. Dorothy Jones officiating. Burial of ashes will be held in the Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, Indiana, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the I.U. Medical Center Organ Donation.
