Mrs. Geraldine Benge

Mrs. Geraldine Benge, 68, of Westville, IN, passed away on Wednesday July 6, 2011 at her home. She was born June 19, 1943 in, Tennessee, the daughter of John Kaiser and Wallcie (Shoffner) Kaiser. Geraldine had worked thirty-six years for Howmet Corp. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Geraldine enjoyed flowers, birds, and cooking. She especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchild. In 1962, in Ashville, North Carolina, she married Billy Benge who preceded her in death January 9, 2005. She is survived by her son - Scott (Amy) Benge of Clinton, TN; daughter - Pamela (Craig) Albers of Westville, IN; four grandchildren - Nina Newenhouse, Jackson Newenhouse, Cade Albers, Nicole Albers; one great grandchild - Nayden Thornton; and one sister - Betty Sharp of Michigan City, IN. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, July 11, 2011 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 9:00 am, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday July 12, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Curtis Southwood officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
