Mrs. Flora Collins

Flora B. Collins June 26, 1927-December 29, 2013 Flora B. Collins, 86, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, died Sunday December 29, 2013 at the Golden Living Center, Countryside in La Porte. She was born June 26, 1927 in Jackson, Kentucky, the daughter of David Adams and Nella (Morgan) Adams. Flora retired from the Howmet Corporation as a Grinder and Inspector in 1990, after over 30 years of service. She was a member of First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie. On June 11, 1947, in Kentucky, she married Earl Collins, who preceded her in death on September 21, 2006. She is survived by her 2 sons - Larry (Michelle) Collins of McKinney, TX, Dennis (Joyce) Collins of Rolling Prairie, IN; 2 sisters - Kathleen Back of Wentzville, MO, Hazel Turner of Jackson, KY; 2 brothers - Maynard Adams of Mt. Sterling, KY, Eugene Adams of Jackson, KY; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Flora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Calvin Adams, and sister, Mary McIntosh. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Friday, January 3, 2014 from 1:00 pm until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday January 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ransom Ebersole officiating. Interment will follow at the Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie.
