Mrs. Edna Howell

Edna Jean Howell August 28, 1928-March 24, 2013 Edna "Nana" Ehrick Howell, 84, formerly of Union Mills, IN, passed away peacefully at her home in North Fort Myers, FL on March 24, 2013 with her loving husband and three daughters at her side. Born to Orville Carl and Maxine Harriet (Mickelson) Ehrick on August 28, 1928, Edna lived a full and happy life and will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Edna will also be remembered as the founder and owner of EJ Sports, which she retired from in 1980, and member of the Union Mills Presbyterian Church. After living in the Union Mills area for over 65 years, Edna and her husband moved to Florida where they have resided for the past 19 years. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Charles L. Howell; daughters Karen (John) Vandy of Houston, TX, Cindy (Don) Grieger of Indianapolis, IN, and Carmo (David) Bos of Great Falls, VA; grandchildren Erik Grieger, Justin Vandy, Lindsey (Grieger) Cameron, Macey Bos, and Matthew Bos; great-grandchildren Jace and Cora Vandy, and Noah Cameron; sisters-in-law Harriet (Bill) Ehrick of LaPorte, IN and Romelle (Dave) Ehrick of Peoria, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Jeffrey John Vandy, and brothers Bill and David Ehrick. A celebration of life memorial service for friends and family will be held at Union Mills Cemetery on April 5th at 11 A.M. Immediately following the service a gathering for friends and family will be held at the Bethel Presbyterian Church (110 E Hamilton St., Union Mills, IN, 46382).
