Dorothy L. Wheatbrook November 12, 1925-March 26, 2013 Mrs. Dorothy L. Wheatbrook, 87, of New Carlisle, Indiana, died Tuesday March 26, 2013 at Hamilton Communities, Inc. She was born November 12, 1925 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Robert Reese and Marie (Rice) Reese. Dorothy was co-owner and bookkeeper for Wheatbrook Home Center for 40 years. She was a member of Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church. She loved to travel and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.. On September 30, 1945, in LaPorte, she married Charles Wheatbrook who preceded her in death December 25, 2009. She is survived by her 3 sons - Thomas (Jackie) Wheatbrook of Rolling Prairie, IN, Daniel (Rita) Wheatbrook of La Porte, IN, Timothy (Paula) Wheatbrook of Rolling Prairie, IN; 6 grandchildren - Kevin Wheatbrook, Suzanne (Ted) Jarka, Alieshia (Steve) Marvel, Todd Wheatbrook, Derek (Kelley) Williams, and Ryan (Monica) Williams; eleven great grandchildren, and one beloved sister - Barbara Nickerson of Rolling Prairie, IN. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Friday, March 29, 2013 10:00 until time of service at the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church. A life celebration will be held at Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church, Friday March 29, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dorothy Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church or Donor's Choice.
