Doris M. Olsen June 27, 1922-January 14, 2014 Mrs. Doris M. Olsen , 91, of La Porte, Indiana, died Tuesday January 14, 2014 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born June 27, 1922 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of George Lain and Edith (Williams) Lain. On January 10, 1942, in La Porte, IN, she married Kenneth E. Olsen who preceded her in death March 4, 1979. She is survived by her son - Terry (Janet) Olsen of La Porte, IN; 2 daughters - Nancy Devore of La Porte, IN, Dianne (Larry) Luse of La Porte, IN; sister - LaVon (Herb) Hines of La Porte, IN; 10 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 4 sisters, Ruth Mould, Cecil Dressback, Opal Ritter, Betty Eikelberg. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A graveside service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery, Friday January 17, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jeff Zigler officiating.
