Mrs. Dolores Eskridge

Mrs. Dolores P. Eskridge, 89, of LaPorte, Indiana, died Tuesday January 15, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born August 4, 1923 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Homer McKeehan and Ethel (Carpenter) McKeehan. Dolores was a retired cook for Fountainview Terrace. She was a member of The River Christian Fellowship. She liked to crochet baby blanket and give them away as gifts. On October 28, 1942, in La Porte, IN, she married Russell M. Eskridge, Jr who preceded in death June 14, 1969. She is survived by her 2 daughters - Judith Cole of Kingsford Heights, IN, Jeri Smith of La Porte, IN; sister - Arlene Ruth Cavinder of La Porte, IN; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren; Dolores was preceded in death by her, two parents, husband, brothers, and three sisters. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, January 18, 2013 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday January 18, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jack Balon officiating.
