Mrs. Deborah Rogers

Deborah Ann Rogers April 17, 1959-February 15, 2012 Debbie A. Rogers, 52, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, died at I.U. Health LaPorte Hospital. She was born April 17, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois. Her adoptive parents were, Wilbur and Helen (Drimak) Rogers and Debbie's birth parents are Glenn and Dorothy (Barker) Dunkel. Debbie was a member of First Baptist Church of Kingsford Heights. She enjoyed doing crafts, sewing and baking, Debbie also enjoyed decorating for Christmas to the max. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving companion - Michael Brawley of Kingsford Heights; birth parents Glenn and Dorothy Dunkel; 5 daughters - Crystal (Jeff) Friel of Hamlet, IN, Joelene Brawley of Hudson Lake, IN, Amy Brawley, Brandy Brawley, Reba Brawley all of Kingsford Heights; 3 Grandchildren - Madisen Friel, Makenzie Friel, Maci Allen; 6 brothers - Daniel Dunkel of Cherokee Village, AR, Glenn Dunkel, Jr. of Chicago, IL, Benny Dunkel of Kingsford Heights, Paul Dunkel of Knox, IN, Joseph Dunkel of Cherokee Village, AR, Jackie Kunkel of IL, and 2 sisters - Melody Marinoglou and Penny Liveris both of Justice, IL. Debbie was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Wilbur and Helen (Drimak) Rogers, and one sister, Glenda "Cathy" Mattes. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. The family will receive friends Monday, February 20, 2012. from 10:00 am until time of service at the First Baptist Church of Kingsford Heights. A Life Celebration will be held at the church, Monday February 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Patrick Reed. Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
