Charlotte VanSchoyck August 15, 1928-June 14, 2012 Mrs. Charlotte VanSchoyck, 83, of La Porte, Indiana, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born August 15, 1928 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Frank Schultz and Mae (Williams) Schultz. Charlotte retired from the deli department at Al's Thrifty Mart. She was a member of New Carlisle United Methodist Church and La Porte Choralaires. On January 17, 1948, in La Porte, IN, she married Richard D. VanSchoyck who preceded her in death April 29, 2000. She is survived by her 5 sons - Roger (Mary) VanSchoyck of La Porte, IN, Dan (Annette) VanSchoyck of Union Mills, IN, Richard VanSchoyck, Jr. of La Porte, IN, Victor John VanSchoyck of La Porte, IN, Mark VanSchoyck of La Porte, IN; 2 daughters - Charlene (Jay) Gilpin of New Carlisle, IN, Cheryl VanSchoyck of La Porte, IN; niece - Diana (Wayne) Mebust of Union Mills, IN; 8 grandchildren - Leann Rene, Amy, Christopher, Jason, Jarett, Mercedes, Kayte, Meghan; 3 great-grandchildren - Lauryn, Ethan and Carter; one sister - Lucille Britton of La Porte, IN. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, and her twin-sister, Catherine VanSchoyck. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. There will be no visitation. A memorial life celebration will be held at New Carlisle United Methodist Church, Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 10:00 am cst with Pastor Dee Miller and Rev. Steven Laue, officiating. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Patton Cemetery, La Porte, Indiana.
