Mrs. Catherine Cole

Catherine A. Cole, 87, of New Carlisle, Indiana, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. She had lived in New Carlisle for thirteen years, living prior in Sebring, Florida. She was born April 8, 1924 in Dowagic, Michigan, the daughter of Gerie Cornell and Mildred (Juranek) Cornell. Catherine was a self-employed beautician for twenty-years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of VFW Rolling Prairie Auxillary, and Lionetts in California. Catherine enjoyed square dancing. On June 1, 1942, in Charleston, MO, she married Harold G. Cole who preceded her in death December 24, 2004. She is survived by her one sister- Margaret Smith of New Carlisle, IN, 3 nephews - Richard (Sylvia) Schweizer of South Bend, IN, Gary (Linda) Schweizer of South Bend, IN, Gary (Sarah) Cornell of La Porte, IN.; several nieces & nephews, and several great nieces & great nephews. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband two brothers, Jerry Cornell, Gary Cornell and one sister, Dorothy Schweizer. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home; 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. Cremation will take place. Burial of Ashes will be held in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison, Indiana.
