Mrs. Carmen Arnold

Carmen Lee Arnold, 92, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Thursday January 10th 2013. Her final days were spent at home surrounded by her family. She will be remembered for her optimism, love of life and contributions to her community even though she often referred to herself as, "A little nothing from Brooklyn". She was born Carmela Filloramo on December 8th 1920, in Reggio Calabria, Italy, the daughter of the late Lugio and Mattia Filloramo. She was the oldest of seven siblings. On June 28, 1953 she married Clifford Arnold (not former sheriff Arnold) of Logansport, Indiana who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Linda Arnold of Atlanta, Georgia, Edward Arnold of La Porte and Kenneth Arnold of Gurnee, Illinois, six grandchildren,(Christine Arnold preceded her in death) and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and three brothers. Two brothers have preceded her in death. Arrangements are with Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Avenue La Porte. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 15th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, On Wednesday January 16th a service will be held at Haverstock at 10:00 am, burial at Pine Lake Cemetery immediately following.
