Mrs. Beverly Crawford

Mrs. Beverly J. Crawford, 81, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Monday May 16, 2011 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born August 22, 1929 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Harold Henning and Mabel (Kipphut) Henning and has lived in the La Porte area all of her life. Beverly retired from the personnel department at Allis-Chalmers after thirty-seven years of service. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and a volunteer for the LaPorte Hospital Auxiliary for over 50 years. On June 19, 1948, in LaPorte, IN, she married Delbert Crawford who survives. She is also survived by her sister - Barbara Brown of La Porte; sister-in-law - Jeri Henning of La Porte; four nieces - Pat (Mark) Rodgers, Kimberly Brown both of LaPorte, IN, Pam (Jeff) Sobczyk of San Diego, CA, Wendy (Shane) Sanders of Mt. Juliet, TN, and a nephew - Scott Henning of LaPorte. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Henning. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Friday, May 20, 2011 from 9:30 am until time of services. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday May 20, 2011 at 10:30 am with Rev. Helen Nusbaum officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
