Mrs. Anna Nash

Anna Mae Nash January 8, 1928-April 27, 2013 Mrs. Anna Mae Nash, 85, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday April 27, 2013 at Golden Living Center-Countryside in LaPorte. She was born January 8, 1928 in Alexandra County, Illinois, the daughter of Curtis Dayton and Dixie (Brown) Dayton. Anna worked for Stelrema, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Assembly of God and Eastern Star. She taught Sunday school and was a 4-H Leader. Anna enjoyed gardening, yard work, and attending Blue Grass Festivals. She also enjoyed traveling and visiting their home in Florida. On July 24, 1948, in Jasonville, IN, she married Ernest E. Nash who preceded her in death May 3, 2011. She is survived by her son - Anthony (Teresa) Nash of Kingsford Heights, IN; daughter - Sandra (Vincent) Krueger of La Porte, IN; 1 grandchild, Susan Daniels of Kingsford Heights; brother - Waine Dayton of Kingsford Heights, IN; IN; 6 sisters - Blanche Corey of Kingsford Heights, IN, Velma Samms of Hymera, IN, Mattie Vaughn of Hymera, IN, Dorothy Swalls of Lewis, IN, Rita Jessup of Saint Joe, IL. and Brenda Bedwell of Princeton, IN. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, William Dayton. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 12:00 pm, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday May 2, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Victor Frohne, officiating.
