Mrs. Ann Hartz

Mrs. Ann M. Hartz, 87, of Fort Wayne, IN, and formerly of La Porte, died Friday July 22, 2011 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born March 2, 1924 in La Porte County, Indiana, the daughter of Kenneth Norris and Helen (Robinson) Norris. Ann retired form Howmet Corp. She was a member of the First Christian Church of La Porte and the La Porte Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. On April 11, 1942 in Mill Creek, IN she married William G. Hartz who preceded in death April 12, 1987. She is survived by her daughter - Patricia Sirk of Fort Wayne, IN; son - William D. Hartz of Pattaya, Thailand; 4 Grandchildren - Tony Sirk, Ryan Sirk, Joe Sirk, Katie Hartz; a brother - Jack Norris of North Liberty, IN; and a half-brother - John Sult of South Bend, IN. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Richard Norris and Orland Norris and her step-father, John Sult. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. Graveside services will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery, Wednesday July 27, 2011 at 11:30 am with Everett Shattuck officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkview Hospice Care.
