Mr. Roger Tanksley

Roger A. Tanksley February 16, 1964-April 2, 2013 Roger A. Tanksley, 49, of Estero, Florida, (formerly of LaPorte, IN.) passed away on Tuesday April 2, 2013 unexpectedly in his home. He was born February 16, 1964 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Waylen Tanksley and Carol (Wood) Tanksley. Roger was a 1982 graduate of LaPorte High School and graduated from International Business College with an Associate Degree in accounting. He was a job coach for Lee Co. School System in Florida and was also a technical director for the Laboratory Theater in Ft. Myers, Florida. He is survived by his parents, Waylon and Carol Tanksley of LaPorte, IN; maternal grandmother - Mary Wood of La Porte, IN; niece - Amanda Middleton of La Porte, IN; great-niece - Chloe Middleton of La Porte, IN. Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Lori Ann Dubbs, paternal grandparents, Price and Lucy Tanksley, and maternal grandfather, Donald Wood. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
