Mr. Robert Lovvorn Sr.

Mr. Robert Dean Lovvorn Sr., 58, of La Porte, Indiana, died Friday May 11, 2012 at his home. He was born May 27, 1953 in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of Aaron Lovvorn and Berdina (Venters) Lovvorn. Robert was a retired mechanic. He was a member of the Brothers of the Third Wheel. He enjoyed fishing, cruising, classic cars, motorcycles and attending flea markets. On April 7, 1975, in La Porte, IN, he married Deborah Wilhelm Lovvorn who survives. He is also survived by his 2 sons - Robert D. Lovvorn Jr., Michael Lovvorn both of La Porte, IN; daughter - Rebecca (David) Wallen of Michigan City, IN; brother - Donnie Lovvorn of La Porte, IN; 4 sisters - Delores Adams, Marie Gainer, Jackie Smith, Vicky Lovvorn all of La Porte, IN; 9 granddogs - Coco, Princess, Peanut, Violet, Te Te Marie, Jasmin, Harley, Blue, and Charlie. Robert was preceded in death by his mother. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 9:00 - 10:00 am. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday May 16, 2012 at 10:00 am with Rev. Dennis Pickens officiating.
