Mr. Robert Humphrey Ii

Mr. Robert W. "Tiger" Humphrey II, 42, of La Porte, Indiana, died Friday April 1, 2011 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born August 12, 1968 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Robert W. Humphrey I and Nelda M. (Brown) Humphrey. Robert worked as a welder for the steel industry. He was a loving and caring person. He loved his nieces and nephews dearly and spoiled them rotten. He is survived by his 2 brothers - Charles (Tammy) Humphrey of Walkerton, IN, Sherman (Shaelane) Humphrey of Plymouth, IN; sister - Ashley (Sergio) Vargas of Plymouth, IN; grandmother - Betty Humphrey of La Porte; special friend - Krystal Keehn of La Porte; and 11 nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ricky Humphrey, and sister, Kelly Humphrey. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Thursday, April 7, 2011 11:00 am until time of the service at the Calvary Baptist Church. Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Thursday April 7, 2011 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Curtis Southwood officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, La Porte.
