Mr. Paul Turner

Mr. Paul R.Turner, 60, of Walkerton (Fish Lake), IN, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born December 18, 1950 in Canoe, Kentucky, the son of Roscoe Turner and Mima (Stamper) Turner. Paul worked as a maintenance engineer for LaPorte Hospital Engineering Dept. He was a member of Indiana National Guard. Paul was a veteran of the US Army during Vietnam. He loved spending time with family and friends. On July 29, 1972, in Pinhook, IN, he married Joy (Tarr) Turner who survives. He is also survived by his 2 daughters - Zandra (Patrick) Stenkiewicz of Germany, Trinity Turner of La Porte, IN; 3 grandchildren - Grant Romano, Sydney Romano, and Iris Hansford; 2-special little girls - Natalie and Emily Adams; 4 brothers - Darial (Sunye) Turner of La Porte, IN, Carl Turner of La Porte, IN, Dale Turner of La Porte, IN, Clay (Dawn) Turner of New Carlisle, IN; 4 sisters - Vicky (Dave) Lemley of Hudson Lake, IN, M. Jean (John) Eddy of Kingsford Heights, IN, Mary (John) Hutchinson of La Porte, IN, Calla (Eric) Arnholtz of Union Mills, IN, and sister-in-law - Talina Turner of Kingsford Heights, IN. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rocky Turner. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 1:00 pm, until time of service. A Memorial Service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday August 6, 2011 at 3:00 pm. Cremation will take place.
