Mr. Millard Sprouse

Mr. Millard W. Sprouse, 83, of La Porte, Indiana, died Thursday March 28, 2013 at his home. He was born January 29, 1930 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Oscar C Sprouse and Addie L.(Trotter) Sprouse. Millard worked as a machinist for Jones Enterprises. He was a member of La Porte Church of Christ. Every day that he was able, Millard enjoyed his morning cup of coffee with his friends at the Ye Ole Pipe Shop. He also loved spending time with his friends within the Deaf Community. Millard was a loving father and grandfather, being very proud of his grandchildren. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Dawn Sprouse of La Porte, IN and four grandchildren, Brittni, Chase, Hailey and Layni Sprouse. Millard was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Paul Sprouse, and one sister, Elizabeth Smith. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 11:00 am, until time of service. A Memorial Service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday April 2, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev. John A. Haferkamp officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the LaPorte High School Marching Band and Winter Guard.
