Mr. Louis Cady

Mr. Louis J. Cady, 75, of La Porte, Indiana, died Thursday February 16, 2012 in Bourbon, IN. He was born September 6, 1936 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Samuel Cady and Olive J. (Proud) Cady, and was a life long resident of the La Porte area. Louis worked as a superintendent for Wirecraft for 32 years and retired in 1998. Louis was a 1955 graduate of Rolling Prairie High School. He played on the high school basketball and baseball teams and also ran track. He enjoyed working outside and hunting for mushroom, and Louis loved his Ford truck. On July 13, 1957 he married Doris (Blad) Cady. On March 27, 1988, in Las Vegas, NV, he married Bette (Jeffries) Levandoski Cady who preceded in death October 10, 1999. He is survived by his 5 daughters - Tammy (Mike) Yaro of Lexington, KY, Lori (Tim) Perrin of Nappanee, IN, Kendi (Richard) Coutant of Apex, NC, Juli (Sean) Ryan of Cincinnati, OH, Kyra Dockter of Hobart, IN; 4 sons - Dale (Cathy) Cady of La Porte, IN, David (Kristin) Cady of Michigan City, IN, Jason Cady of Nappanee, IN, Chip (Loretta) Levandoski of La Porte, IN; 19 grandchildren; and a sister - Maxine Eggert of La Porte, IN. Louis was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, February 24, 2012 from 2:00 pm until time of the service. A Life Celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday February 24, 2012 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Darin Simms officiating.
