Mr. Loren Heirbrandt

Loren D. Heirbrandt August 5, 1944 - May 18, 2016 Loren Heirbrandt age 71, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon Heirbrandt; daughters, Michele (Jeff) Pugh and Lori (Scott) Gerken; grandsons, Ardy Creed, Adam (Amy) Creed, Aaron Oaks, Austin Oaks and Carter Pugh; great grandchildren, Brayden, Destiny and Ellie; brother, Bill (Kay) Heirbrandt; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Erma Heirbrandt. Loren was born on August 5, 1944 in LaPorte, IN. He graduated from Mill Creek High School and attended Indiana University. On November 2, 1963, he married Sharon Kay Shepherd in Mill Creek, IN. Loren was the owner of Loren's Pool and Supply in LaPorte and Plymouth, IN for 45 years. He started his business in Rolling Prairie in his garage in 1971. He brought joy to many families all over the Midwest using his expertise to expound on the swimming pool industry. He received numerous awards and recognitions for his designs. He partnered with the Make a Wish Foundation to fulfill a child's dream to have a swimming pool to enjoy with his family. Loren's family and numerous dedicated employees will continue his legacy for many years to come. Loren was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Avenue LaPorte, IN with Pastor Rodney Rudd officiating. Interment to follow at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM and on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at the funeral home.
