Mr. Kirk Ritchey

Kirk W. Ritchey, 49, of New Buffalo, Michigan, died Friday March 9, 2012 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born March 30, 1962 in Berrien Springs, Michigan, the son of Frank Ritchey and Paula (Reid) Ritchey. Kirk worked as a truck driver for Williams Leasing. He loved drawing and enjoyed photography. On September 3, 2011, in New Buffalo, MI, he married Mary Beth (Ratliff) Ritchey who survives. He is also survived by his parents, Frank and Paula Ritchey of. Leesburg, Florida; one son - Thomas Schulte of Berrien Springs, MI; one grandchild Elijah Miller of Niles, MI; five step-daughters - Stephanie (Marcus) Szabo of Niles, MI, Meagan (Anthony) Manley of Fairbanks, AK, Shannon Szabo of Michigan City, IN, Caitlin Szabo of Michigan City, IN, Gretchen Szabo of Michigan City, IN;one brother - Lynn (Judy) Ritchey of Niles, MI; one sister - Lea Ann (Pete) Elliott of East Jordan Michigan, and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 9:00 am, until time of service. A Life Celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday March 13, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pete Elliott officiating. Cremation will take place.
