Mr. Kenneth Henriott Sr.

Mr. Kenneth L. Henriott Sr., 80, of Mulberry, Florida, died Saturday January 21, 2012 at his home. He was born January 31, 1931 in Fowler, Indiana, the son of Henry L Henriott and Helen M. (Cornelius) Henriott. Kenneth lived in the La Porte area for 40 years and moved to Florida in 1999. Kenneth worked as a Sheriff's Deputy of the La Porte County Police Department for 21 years and as a Correctional Officer for Indiana State Department of Corrections for 25 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. On July 16, 1950, in Lafayette, IN, he married Sarah I Cundiff. Sarah preceded him in death December 11, 1998, after a loving union of over 48 years. He is survived by his 4 sons - Kenneth Henriott Jr. of La Porte, Floyd (Brenda) Henriott of Peru, IN, Gregg Henriott of South Bend, IN, Doug Henriott of Mulberry, FL; 2 daughters - La Moyne Slater of La Porte, IN, Pamela Simpson of Sioux Falls, SD; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 10:00 am until time of the service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday January 26, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jo Ellyn Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, Indiana.
