Mr. Jerry Hughes

Jerry E. Hughes October 16, 1942-March 17, 2012 Jerry E. Hughes, 69, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday, March 17, 2012 at his home. He was born October 16, 1942 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of William E. Hughes and Hallie Marie (Spencer) Hughes. Jerry was a retired truck driver for Foodliner. He was a member of LaPorte Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of South Bend, Indiana and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved his family and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his mother, Hallie Hughes of Michigan City, IN; one daughter - Stacy Lockhart and one son-in-law, Jeff Lockhart of Kosse, TX; one son, Brian Hughes of Tennessee Colony, TX; two grandchildren - Christina and Stephanie Lockhart of Kosse, TX; and two great-grandchildren - Kayden and Bailey Coronado of Kosse, TX. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, William E. Hughes. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A Life Celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Tuesday March 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ransom Ebersole officiating.
