James Edmond Naegele September 4, 1931-January 30, 2013 Mr. James Edmond Naegele, 81, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday January 30, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN. He was born September 4, 1931 in Sullivan, Indiana, the son of John Edmond Naegele, Sr. and Fannie (Griffith) Naegele. James worked eleven years for Hedwin Corp., retiring in 1993. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and a Veteran of the US Army. James loved to go camping. He was a very well loved individual. James was very family oriented and loved his family very much. On September 5, 1959, in LaPorte, IN, he married Shirley C. (Smith) Naegele who preceded him in death January 14, 2012. He is survived by his daughter - Sharon Mott of Ludington, MI; step-daughter - Cheryl Rutt of New Carlisle, IN; step-son - Larry A. Sacks of Readsboro, WI; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; thirteen great great grandchildren, amd one brother - Billy Joe Naegele of Kingsford Heights, IN. James was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, James Edmond Naegele, Jr., sister, Margaret F. Augustine, two brothers, John J. Naegele, and Bobby Lee Naegele. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday February 5, 2013 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Jack M. Cox officiating. Interment will follow at the Swan Lake Mausoleum, Michigan City, Indiana. A veteran service will be conducted by the LaPorte Honor Guard at the cemetery.
