Jack G. Ross March 18, 1934 - June 4, 2012 Mr. Jack G. Ross, 78, of La Porte, Indiana, died Monday June 4, 2012 at his home. He was born March 18, 1934 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Walter Ross and Mable (Popka) Ross. Jack had worked and retired from Whirlpool Mfg. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was a past member of the VFW. He is survived by his 2 sisters - Sandra Tarnow of La Porte, IN, Helen Carlton of La Porte, IN, and one brother-in-law - David Herring of Granger, IN; 6 nieces - Pamela Forsey of Granger, IN, Vicki Skodras of Granger, IN, Chrystal Ackerman of La Porte, IN, Ginger Ransom of La Porte, IN, Deborah Vlietstra of La Porte, IN, and Kim Fasano of Joliet, IL. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ruth Herring and one brother, Harold Ross. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A private family service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 with Pastor Jo Ellyn Chadwick officiating. Interment will be held in the Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, Indiana.
