Mr. Howard Hauck

Mr. Howard Jay Hauck, 93, of LaPorte, Indiana, died Friday January 6, 2012 at his home. He was born May 25, 1918 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Harry Hauck and Ann (Napp) Hauck. Howard retired as a maintenance worker for several condominium complexes . He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp.during WWII. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. On January 18, 1941, in LaPorte, IN, he married Elizabeth Klimko Hauck who preceded in death July 5, 1998. He is survived by his 2 grandsons - Brian Brainerd of Fishers, IN, David Brainerd of Indianapolis, IN; granddaughter - Michelle Spataro of Ronkonkoma, NY; 4 great grandchildren; 3 nieces - Annatte Bock of Appleton, WI, Julie Bock of Milwaukee, WI, Betty Lou Ebben of Park Forest, IL; and a nephew - Michael Bock of Cincinnati, OH. Howard was preceded in death by his son, Terry Hauck, daughter, Janice Brainerd a sister, and a nephew. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. A life celebration will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery, Saturday January 14, 2012 at 10:30 am with Rev. Carl Galloway officiating. Interment will follow.
