George A. "Bunker" Hill December 14, 1938-December 6, 2011 Mr. George A. "Bunker" Hill Jr., 72, of La Porte, Indiana, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at his home. He was born December 14, 1938 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of George A. Hill, Sr. and Hazel (Godsey) Hill. George worked as a Ford Parts Manager for all LaPorte Ford Dealerships. He was a Veteran of US Navy during Peacetime. George lived all of his life in the La Porte area. He was a family man, loving his children, grandchildren and great-grandaughter. On August 14, 1991, in La Porte, IN, he married Marlena (Moore) Hill who survives. He is also survived by his two sons - Peter (Gayle) Hill of La Porte, IN, Brian (Shelly) Hill of La Porte, IN; two daughters - Heather Burton of La Porte, IN, Ami (Rick) King of Fruita, CO; ten grandchildren - Andrew Hill, Courtney Warren, Kyle Foldenauer, Luke Foldenauer, Abigail Ehlers, Lillian Ehlers, Seth Hill, Sydney Hill, Issac King, Shelby Burton; one great-granddaughter - Emma Warren, and many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judy Martin. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Friday, December 9, 2011 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 12:00 pm, until time of service. A Life Celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday December 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Cremation will take place.
