Mr. Dennis Williams

Dennis W. Williams January 17, 1943-November 26, 2013 Mr. Dennis W. Williams, 70, of La Porte, Indiana, died Tuesday November 26, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born January 17, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of William Williams and Kathryn (Gilbert) Williams. Dennis worked twenty-three years for Aero Metals, retiring in 2003. He was a member of VFW of LaPorte and a Veteran of the US Army during Viet-Nam. Dennis was an avid Colts fan. On April 5, 1980 in LaPorte, Indiana, he married Katherine (McClaine) Williams who survives. He is also survived by his step-daughter - Pam Stahly of South Bend, IN; step-son - Jim (Linda) Thompson of Warsaw, IN; 3 grandchildren - Colton Thompson, Stephanie Thompson, Brandon Thompson; 2 sisters - Gwen (Dave) Worsham of Carmel, IN, Wendy (Rick) Wagner of Indianapolis, IN; brother-in-law - John McClaine; 2 nieces - Kate Ellen Brinkmeyer, Kara (Mike) Frazer; 2 nephews - Nicholas Worsham, Scott Wagner; aunt - Irene Logan; uncle and aunt - Arland & Shirley Williams; and his special dog - Snuggles. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 9:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 12:00 pm, with Pastor JoEllyn Chadwick, officiating. Cremation will take place. A military service will be conducted by the LaPorte Honor Guard at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of Dennis W. Williams.
