David Alan Johnson July 23, 1946 - August 29, 2012 Mr. David Alan Johnson, 66, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his home. He was born July 23, 1946 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of David A. Johnson and Jacqueline (Densmore) Johnson. David had worked 30 years as a Production Manager and Plant Engineer for Bamar Plastics, Inc. in South Bend. David loved to play darts, and pool. He did everything with his special grandson Little Charlie. On December 23, 1998, in St. Petersburg, FL, he married Beverly "Chlebowski" Johnson who survives. He is also survived by his 2 sons - Kyle Johnson of AR, and Michael Johnson of AR; 3 step-sons - Allen, Xaun (Jen), Tom (Kasy); step-daughter - Lorrie (Dave); brother - Mike (Deb) Johnson of Bloomington, IN; 9 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ron Johnson. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, August 31, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday August 31, 2012 at 4:00 pm with Rev. Trevor Foley, officiating. Cremation will take place.
