Mr. Albert Powell

Albert L. Powell, 75, of La Porte, Indiana, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born January 2, 1937 in Illinois, the son of Roy Powell and Bessie Powell. Albert had worked for Dwyer Instruments. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. He is survived by his daughter - Cindy Poplawski of La Porte, IN; 2 sons - Donald Powell of GA, Frankie Powell of La Porte, IN., and five grandchildren. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Maxine Grivakis, 2 brothers, John Powell, Sr., Kenneth Powell. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
