Vickie Denise Ballinger December 9, 1960 - April 3, 2012 Miss Vickie Denise Ballinger , 51, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, died Tuesday April 3, 2012 at her home. She was born December 9, 1960 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Carl C. Ballinger and Evelyn (Cobb) Ballinger. Vickie worked as a Coordinator for Central Transport. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kingsford Heights, she was a trustee of the church, and she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Vickie was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Ballinger of Kingsford Heights, IN; 3 sisters - Kimberly Ballinger of Chicago, IL, Karla Ballinger of Kingsford Heights, IN, Kelly Fisher of Kingsford Heights, IN; niece - Kelis Howell of Kingsford Heights, IN; 2 nephews - Lorenzo Montgomery of Mesa, AZ, Tommy Moore of Kingsford Heights, IN; special uncle - Greg Beaty of Kingsford Heights, IN; 6 special friends - Marsha Hampton of Atlanta, GA, Deanna Rainer of Chicago, IL, Natasha Kournegay of Naperville, IL, James Lipscomb of Kingsford Heights, IN; special friends - Larry and Tony Thorton of Kingsford Heights, IN. Vickie was preceded in death by her father. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Kingsford Heights on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 10:00 am, until of services. A life celebration will be held at the First Baptist Church of Kingsford Heights, Saturday April 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dwight Gardner and Rev. Patrick Reed Sr. officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
