Miss Marjorie Reickel

Marjorie L. Reickel, 91, of La Porte, Indiana, died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Brentwood Assisted Living in La Porte, IN. She was born March 20, 1921 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Edward A. Reickel and Flora L.(Kramer) Reickel. Marjorie was a member of First United Methodist Church. She graduated from LaPorte High School in 1940. She was employed at the Kingsbury Ordinance Plant and then worked at Deluxe Products Corp. Her last place of employment was Whirlpool, from which she retired after 25 years of service. She is survived by several cousins. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Eveleen D. (Paulis) Crowe Reickel, brother, Robert E. Reickel, step-sister, Shirley (Crowe) Calvert, 2 step-brothers, Richard Crowe, and Jack Crowe. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 9:30 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday December 19, 2012 at 10:30 am with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
