Millie Tanner

Mrs. Millie M. Tanner, age 78, of 4952 E. Michigan St., Rolling Prairie, Ind., died 6:45 PM Monday, December 19, 2005, at Hamilton Communities in New Carlisle, Ind. She was born April 29, 1927 in Roseau, MN. to the late Nels Swingen and the late Mary Sansteng Swingen. She has lived in the Rolling Prairie area since 1947 coming from Roseau, MN. Mrs. Tanner was employed as a custodian by New Prairie School Systems for 26 years and retired in 1993. She was a member of First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie, IN. and also a member of God's Golden Warriors of the Church. On December 13, 1946 in Roseau, MN she married Lester Tanner who preceded her in death December 6, 1993. She is survived by her Two Sons, Mr. Jimmie Mary Tanner of Rolling Prairie, Ind., Mr. Jackie Penny Tanner of Newtown, Conn.; Five grandchildren, Brian Spahn, Michael Spahn, Tammy Lawson, James Tanner, Janet Tanner; and Six great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the First Christian Church, 113 W. Michigan St., Rolling Prairie, IN. Funeral service will be at First Christian Church of Rolling Prairie at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2005 , Bro. Ransom Ebersole officiating.
