Mildred Zimmerman

Mrs. Mildred Ann Zimmerman, age 76, of La Porte, Ind., died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Golden Living Fountainview Terrace in La Porte, Ind. She was born on October 6, 1931 in Rochester, Ind. to the late Harry Fossow and the late Verda Green Fossow. Also preceded in death are two son's, Gary Zimmerman, and Steve Zimmerman. She was married on February 9, 1951 in LaPorte, Indiana, to Forrest Zimmerman, who survives. Mrs. Zimmerman was a homemaker and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She loved her family and friends, loved spending time with grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Forrest Zimmerman of LaPorte, Ind, Two Daughters, Mrs. Sharon John Bachert of La Porte, Ind, Mrs. Karen Lou Biernacki of LaPorte, Ind, One Son, Mr Michael Karen Zimmerman of Rolling Prairie, Ind, One Brother, Mr Larry Ann Green of Pensacola, Fla, one cousin, Dean Smith of Rochester, Ind. She has Eight grandchildren, One great-grandchild. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 3, 2008. A Memorial Service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 3, 2008, with Rev. Ronald A. Brauer, officiating. Burial of Ashes will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
