Mrs. Mildred L. Williams, 87, of LaPorte, IN., died Friday Dec. 3, 2004, at 6:15 a.m. at her home. She was born October 6, 1917, in Addison, Illinois., to William and Hermina Cohrs Thiesse, and has lived in this area for 62 years, coming from Illinois. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, National Safety Council, National Fire Protection Assoc., National Assoc. of Manufacturers, and a former member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Altar Guild. She enjoyed Flowers and traveling around the world. On April 11, 1942 in Forest Park, Illinois, she married Clarence E. Williams who was the founder of A & A Sheet Metal Products, Inc., he preceded her in death on July 4, 1982. Also preceded in death were her parents and many brothers and sisters. Surviving are three sons, David Williams of LaPorte, Michael Williams of LaPorte, Jack Annette Williams of LaPorte; seven grandchildren, Michael Williams of Wayne, IL., Patrick Williams, Benjamin Williams, Samantha Williams, Jacob Williams, Charles Williams all of LaPorte; one step grandson, Tod Lowery of LaPorte; one twin brother, Gilbert Thiesse; several sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Monday December 6, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Haverstock Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Brauer officiating. Friends may call Sunday December 5, 2004 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church and Altar Guild.
